How do I disinfect reusable SpO2 probes of szmedplus?

How do I disinfect reusable SpO2 probes of szmedplus?

There are two different cleaning methods depending on type of SpO2 probe:

Cleaning and Disinfecting of SpO2 application Finger Clip adult (FC), Finger Clip Pediatric (FP) and Y-probe (Y):

Those sensors should be cleaned and disinfected after each use BEFORE subsequent use on another patient. To clean or disinfect the sensor:

  1. Disconnect the sensor from the monitoring device.
  2. Dampen a clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with a mild, low-level disinfecting solution such as a 1:10 bleach solution (do not use undiluted bleach because permanent damage to the sensor may occur). Use it to wipe all exposed surfaces of the sensor and cable.
  3. Dampen another clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with sterile or distilled water and again wipe all exposed surfaces of the sensor and cable.
  4. Dry the sensor and cable with a clean, dry cloth or gauze pad.
  5. In case using an universal Y Sensor remove Y foam tape first. Do not use excessive force when removing the foam tape as this can cause damage to the sensor.

Caution: Never immerse the sensor in any liquid. Do not sterilize by irradiation, steam, or ethylene oxide (EtO).

Cleaning and Disinfecting of SpO2 application Finger Silicone Adult (FS) and Finger Silicone Pediatric (PS):
